Love a drum circle too

Micah was one of the best drummers I have ever heard. I’ve seen him drum for 12+ hours before. He pissed blood afterward tho. It happened a few times. He had a big heavy djembe and he had a strap for it and I think it was the strap digging into him giving him internal bleeding somehow

His hands would bleed, his fingers would swell

WTF

He couldn’t stop til it was over.

We were always the last to leave a show, a dead lot, a circle, a jam sesh, a party.

He literally fed on the energy of the people around him. He required crowds to amuse, to shock, to entertain.

It was fun cuz maybe I’m kinda like that too and we were the hippie power couple together. And I fucking loved it.

I miss that energy but I’m pretty good being single and feeling powerful af on my own too!

I’ll miss getting to talk about those days with him. He always remembered different things than I did so we’d swap stories and it was so fun.

I hope beyond anything that he is free to make music again now however that works out. Cuz he was music 24/7, constantly humming or drumming or both 😂
